My Parents got a small portable tv from miller brothers easily in the late 70's early 80's and it was a philips and its only recently (in maybe 2008) desided to die, well the on off push button packed in but thats a good 20 years fora a small 15" portable Quite often that i find getting a well known brand will be a good idea to how long it will last.
