Leather Furniture for a luxurious feel

Leather dining chairs, leather three piece suites and office chairs all look elegant, because of the one thing they have in common, leather. Unbeknown to many people however, leather is available in a wide range of textures and qualities.

The cheaper the piece of leather furniture is, the harder it is likely to feel to the touch. The more expensive qualities, such as mane leather sofas are made with different types of leather, used in different places. For example, there is aniline dyed, softened leather, which is one hundred per cent pure leather. Obviously the higher the quality of leather the more expensive the piece of furniture is likely to be.

With leather pieces of furniture, the type of frame also determines the price the item will eventually cost. If it has a frame made of a soft wood, such as cypress or pine, the cheaper it is likely to be. Having a frame being made of a high quality hardwood makes the item more expensive, but the extra cost pays off in durability.

When it comes to leather furniture, the brand name does not matter as much as the actual quality, style and comfort of the piece. Some lesser-known brand names might actually prove to be of better quality than many household names. Big names also tend to be more expensive, since they have factored in their marketing and advertising costs. Neither does the country of origin matter; it is always the quality that you should be looking at. There again, just because some countries have been known to produce high quality items in the past, does not mean that others have not caught up.
