It does not matter what type of house you live in or the area that you want to heat, there are plenty of underfloor heating systems that can accommodate just about any situation. Some systems require that they are used with new construction while others are great for home renovation projects as well. You can install underfloor heating systems beneath carpet, tile, laminate and wood floors as well.
Heating a bathroom or ensuite is a great application for underfloor heating. Instead of having a bulky or unsightly radiator taking up space in your bathroom, install some underfloor heating instead. This will help to keep the air in the room warm while also providing you with a warm floor to stand on.
Another great place to install an underfloor heating system is in the entrance ways of your home. Much like a bathroom or ensuite, an entrance way is prone to dampness. Wet shoes and umbrellas can be left behind in an entrance way while moisture from a shower can accumulate on the floors of a bathroom. In both situations you have a floor that is slippery and might encourage the growth of mould. Underfloor heating systems solve this problem by keeping your floors dry.
Many people choose to install underfloor heating systems in their living rooms as well. Radiators are commonly found in living rooms which people try to cover up and hide. This frequently forces the radiator to work harder in order to heat the room which wastes electricity. Underfloor heating can eradicate the issue by eliminating the need for a radiator.

I only thought you could put heating under laminate flooring, well you live and learn.
I also didnt think that underfloor heating could be used under normal carpet
