There are several different types of underfloor heating options that can be installed in your home. Each one has been designed to work with certain types of flooring finishes and in different types of rooms.
One of the newest varieties of underfloor heating is the carbon foil heating system. This particular heating method is great for those who might be concerned about losing a bit of room height to the installation of an underfloor heating system. Carbon foil systems are typically less than 1mm in thickness which is one of its greatest advantages. This type of heating system is best suited for laminate or wood floors. Installation of a carbon foil underfloor heating system should not be attempted in bathrooms or areas that are exposed to moisture.
Inscreed cable is another great way to heat the floors in your house. Inscreed heating system requires that you sink heating cable into a layer of screed which is then covered by your flooring. It can be used in just about any type of room and is known to be very durable. The biggest issue with inscreed cable is that your floors and the layer of screed will need to be torn up if a problem were to arise.
One easy to install form of underfloor heating is a mat kit. This option is also great as it provides a tremendous amount of flexibility regarding your flooring finish. It can be used under everything from natural stone to tile.

You never really think about height loss in a room. This is a major problem if some of your furniture is very close to your ceiling.
