I had recently discovered a problem like this with my metal bed frame. I turned the mattress over as per my usual 6 month routine and noticed how badly bowed the metal base was, pretty much like a small bridge is shape.
I have now turned the base round and alternated it all, but I feel that when it bends back to how it was when I discovered it, I’ll have to buy a new bed as the metal will be badly fatigued
