Before you head down to the furniture store and pick out a bed for your child, you will first have to determine if he or she is ready for it. Making the move from a crib to a real children’s bed can be a difficult transition for many children and it is important that you do not rush things.

Children’s beds can be anything from toddler-size beds that will work with mattresses designed for cribs, to full-sized spring beds similar to the ones that adults would use. You can also choose from a wide variety of children’s beds that are designed in the shape of a race car, or space ship, or other similar fun designs.
When making your mattress purchase, be sure not to skimp on quality. Children need adequate support for their growing bones and a good quality mattress will help ensure that.
